Technology and automation are replacing conventional jobs and the sharing and on-demand economy is changing the fundamental ground for businesses. As a result, the landscape of employment opportunities in the organised and unorganised sector is changing dramatically.

Future Forward Skills Mission aims to engage corporates and foundations as core partners and build a platform that would collaborate to support and amplify solutions that address India’s dual jobs and skills challenges.

The Future Forward Skills Mission is a multi-donor partnership initiated by UK India Business Council (UKIBC), anchored by Tata Trusts and supported by Department for International Development (DFID). FFSM Research is supported by UNDP India and ChildFund India.

Over the past 125 years, Tata Trusts through its various philanthropic initiatives has played a pioneering role in advancing the nation by supporting and driving innovation in the areas of healthcare, education, nutrition, rural upliftment, poverty alleviation, sanitation, and arts & culture.

Tata Trusts is incubating the Mission for a period of 3 years.

The UK India Business Council supports UK Businesses with the insights, network, policy advocacy, services, and facilities needed to succeed in India.

UKIBC is the lead anchor for its member companies to partner with the Mission.

The UK Government's Department for International Development (DFID) leads the UK’s work to end extreme poverty. DFID tackles the global challenges including poverty and disease, mass migration, insecurity and conflict.

DFID will provide social impact evaluation support for the Mission.

UNDP serves in many respects as the operational arm of the United Nations at the country level and works with partners in numerous countries to promote among other things sustainable development, eradication of poverty, advancement of women, good governance and the rule of law.

UNDP is a strategic partner for the Research vertical.

ChildFund is a child development organisation representing the voice of deprived, excluded and vulnerable children in India regardless of their race, creed and gender enabling children to lead a dignified life and achieve their full potential.

ChildFund is a strategic partner for the Research vertical.

Sattva is a social impact strategy consulting and implementation firm. Sattva works closely at the intersection of business and impact, with multiple stakeholders including non-profits, social enterprises, corporations and the social investing ecosystem.

Sattva is responsible for the programme management of the Mission.
